The Women’s U20 World Cup starts this week, and there’s a great post over at Pitch Invasion that explains the history and outlook for this competition. If, like my dad, you were so disgusted with the officiating, diving and crying in the World Cup final this past weekend that you have sworn off men’s soccer indefinitely, the women’s game may provide a breath of fresh air.
If, on the other hand, you’re already lamenting the end men’s international play, even if you didn’t particularly enjoy the final match, there is international soccer on the horizon and US Soccer Daily gives an excellent timeline on just how long you have to wait for the next competition, qualifier or friendly. There is good stuff out there. Be patient.
